Almost there!

I'm almost there! The animation is almost ready to be rendered and forgotten about forever. I spent today animating the weight frame by frame...525 frames! I also built the set and textured everything! All I have left to do now is to animate the camera a little bit on impact of the character falling over.

Here's how everything is looking so far:

I worked out that the 21 seconds of animation should take just under 9 hours to render (with mental ray). So that's going to be left on tonight...hopefully I'll be able to sleep for 9 hours! :P

P.S. Here are the posters just for fun:

The last one is just a chart that I found on google images.

It's getting there.

The short Spaceman animation is getting there. There's little left to do apart from cleaning up the animation a bit, problem solving, modelling a proper set, adding some spiffy lights and then finally rendering it.

Here's what I have so far:

Now it's time to get a good nights sleep for once!

Rough Animation

Here's the animation so far, a quick playblast for you. Still rough and such!

Hopefully if all goes well tomorrow I can finish the animation completely (with minor tweaks left), model the set and do the lighting.

Blocked animation

Today I blocked out some of my animation, here's what it currently looks like:

Hopefully it should be finished quite soon, 20 seconds isn't really all that much even though 500 frames does sound quite daunting. GO GO GO ANIMATION!
