Here's a quick concept art piece for my Design For Industry module at university. If all goes well hopefully I'll be animating something similar looking to this!

Facial animation...complete!
That's right, I've finished my facial animation and all the rest of this semesters work! Just need to hand it in tomorrow and I'm all sorted. I still have one module to work on over the holidays but I'm going to take it easy for a while now.
Here's the final render:

Facial animation stuff
Here are some video of how my facial animation work is coming along:
Blocking
Head, eyes and lids smoothing
Eye brows smoothing
Blocking
This is my facial animation project for uni blocked in. I'm focusing on the head movements here and the rough mouth up and downs are there for reference.
Head, eyes and lids smoothing
Smoothed out the head and the eyes and this is what I have! Next to work on the brows and mouth movements then expressions.
Eye brows smoothing
Currently the head, eyes, eye lids and brows have been blocked and smoothed. The mouth is blocked to get an idea of the overall up and down movement of the jaw. Next on the list is to get to work on the mouth blendshapes!
Some sketches
I was sketching some stuff tonight and thought I'd try out the technique that a lot of concept artists and normal artists use for texturing things etc. I think it gives some really nice results. Zombie looking guy is Ben Templesmith inspired (I drew it after looking through the art of wormwood) and the technique is too I guess since he also uses it in his work...but much better!
Just a sketch of a skull that I drew for a university blog.
